Unhappy Do you all remember? Two years ago around this time....

JFK Jr., his elegant wife Carolyn, and her sister disappeared due to a plane crash . Do y'all remember? I remember I was glued to the TV set for hours - hoping and praying that somehow, despite all the odds, that JFK Jr. and his family would show up...I even shed a few tears when it turned out that they were missing for good...

E! (the channel) is also doing a special this week on JFK and others who left way too soon...like Princess Di, Freddie Prinze (sr.), River Phoenix, and Chris Farley...

(From E Online):

Where were you when John F. Kennedy died?

Once upon a time, that question only applied to our nation's 35th president, JFK. Chances are, however, that most of us can more easily recall where we were two years ago this week when we heard about the death of JFK Jr., an event chronicled Sunday in the premiere of The Last Days of John F. Kennedy, Jr.: The E! True Hollywood Story (Sunday, 9 p.m.).

The JFK Jr. episode kicks off Only the Good Die Young week, a full flight of shows from the freshly Emmy-nominated True Hollywood Story series. The week includes installments on River Pheonix, Chris Farley, Princess Diana and Freddie Prinze.

On Sunday's John-John THS, the two-hour special includes exclusive footage, details on the investigation into JFK Jr.'s death and interviews with Kennedy friends and family. You'll hear plenty of dish on his academic and career struggles, on his ability to live his life independently under intense media scrutiny and the sometimes volatile relationship with wife Carolyn Bessette, who--with her sister Lauren--also died in the July 1999 plane crash that killed JFK Jr.

As with his father, JFK Jr.'s version of the Camelot story ended much too early.
