Well I think you all can guess my nickname/pledgename from my sorority. It is spelled with an-ey cuz the -ey was passed down through our family tree. My big is Scoobey and my grand-big is Mickey. (I think I've posted about this already in another thread though).

I was usually just called by my last name by sisters though.

Some of the alums call me "el Presidente" because that is my role right now in our AA.

When I was in undergrad, the giving of a nickname/pledgename by your big sister was a really sweet "ceremony", and special time. The new members (myself included) always used to try to guess what their "name" was going to be. I still have the paper with what my big made me with my nickname/pledgename.
