Drug war has proven more corrosive for America than the drugs themselves

I'd be willing to bet if the American people were allowed on whether or not to make pot legal, it'd be legal.

There's quite an industry now keeping this stuff illegal.

I'm all for legalization of drugs. There are some that I'd rather see available for use only under controlled situations. I had to call 911 today on my way to lunch because there was some lady hopped up on something sitting in the middle of the street on a fairly busy street screaming and babbling uncontrollably. All I could make out was "Just let me die".

If there was someplace she could go to take whatever she was on and then be locked up and monitored (for a price) to make sure she was okay, I'd be fine with it.
