What's this guy's deal

I'm not sure what to think of this but when I go to the bar there is this guy that I know and every time that he is drunk he always say that he likes me, etc. However recently he said that we should go out on a date? But I see him at every IFC meeting and he just treat me like a normal friend. He's not the shy guy so what deals. If he likes me then why don't he just come out and say it. We live in the same apartment complex and we are in the same greek circle.

I never really thought about him in that sort of way.

Should I read anything in this or not? He probably just tells all the girls at the bar that he like them when he gets drunk.
