As AlphaGamGirl mentioned earlier, our national philanthropy is the Alpha Gamma Delta Foundation--an organization that helps fund research and support for the Juvenile Diabetes foundation. From bake sales, rose grams, candy grams, and the all popular car washes--whatever money we raise goes to them.
Last semester my chapter had the opportunity to volunteer at the Ronald McDonald house in our community. The house provides lodging for families with children undergoing treatment at local hospitals. My chapter had a blast cooking dinners for them and playing with the kids. The best part was seeing those smiles on the children's faces. Despite going through some hard times these children still know how to smile and have a good time, and to me, that's all that matters!
