I'm not from Wisconsin. My family is from Brooklyn, New York. However, my father joined the military before he married my Mom. Then two years later they had me and I've been moving around ever since. My parents, ESPECIALLY MY MOTHER
, sound like they never left New York (you can take the girl out of New York, but you can't take the New York out of the girl). So, between them and always visiting the rest of the family in New York, there are just certain words that I say that are pronounced with the liking of a New York accent.
