Hey...I thought Hawaii was the melting pot of the world! You know what's funny though? In the last census, more people considered themselves Native Hawaiian and more people calling themselves Polynesian in California than they did in Hawaii (there were more "Part Hawaiians" and "Part Polynesian" here).
Anyway, Newbie, to answer your question, every summer I usually spend it up in the Bay Area with my family and friends. I have family in Hayward, Union City, Daly City, San Jose, and Santa Clara. I also know a whole crap load of guys (alums from Archbishop Riordan HS) that I've known since high school. This year it's going to be hard for me to do my annual thing because I'm trying to get my butt to AGD convention. If I can stay over for a few days in SF that would be great.
Last January I went to Torrance, CA with my BF to meet his family and friends. Torrance is where he's from, and I simply enjoyed SoCal! I guess the nightlife was what totally blew me away...that's why I can't wait to go again!
