When I'm flaring, I have about 10 seconds to get from where I am to the bathroom- if I'm lucky. The problem with Crohn's is that (depending on the severeity of your case) when you're in the acute stage of the disease, moving is quite painful and you have very little (if any) control of your bowels. Making it to the dressing room would have probably been impossible for that young girl. I feel her pain
I always thought that carrying my card was my safety net... it's horrible to know that I could still be denied use of a restroom because of some dickhead.
