Tommy Lee's new reality series looking for campus
Too real to be good
The University at Buffalo enjoyed some positive publicity when MTV visited two years ago to follow the experiences of a fraternity and sorority pledge class.
Despite that, UB said "no" to a new reality show, a series in which cameras will follow a well-known Hollywood celebrity as he enrolls in college and takes three or four classes per week.
"He will also do what normal college students do: root for the football team, study in the quad and have some good ol' fashioned college fun," said an e-mail sent by the show's producer to UB and other colleges around the country.
The e-mail didn't name the celebrity student, but UB soon discovered who it was: Tommy Lee, the tattoo-loving, hard-living rock star and ex-husband of Baywatch beauty Pamela Anderson Lee.
Given Lee's previous video appearance, an X-rated romp with Pamela, UB's decision may be a wise one.
