I thought of more!
--For my first three years, my chapter had only 6 or 7 members. We typically only had MIT classes of about 3 or 4. I worked my butt off to make us grow, and when we initiated *11* this year--bringing us to about 20 actives--I was so proud!
--Seeing one of my best friends in the world get initiated
--Every single time I sing the Chorale. The best ever was at Convention...1000 SAIs all singing the Chorale, hand in hand..that was really something!
--We have a tradition where, on the night of Initiation, the actives elect a Best Member-in-Training, and the MITs elect a Best Member...however, to make it fair, the VP Membership (pledge trainer) CANNOT be elected since they are the one who is with the MITs the most. Well on Initiation, the MITs announced the winner but then mentioned that they wanted me to be their honorary Best Member.
--In a recent e-mail I got from the moderator of our national Listserv, she said: I have truly enjoyed your postings on the listserv, as I'm sure many others have as well. I
think your chapter is very lucky to have you as their President. Your energy and enthusiasm are infectious and they will be better members
because of it!" I was so flattered.
