You could be allergic to something that's in the metal. That happened to me too, and I found out that I was allergic to nickel, and the new ring I had put in contained nickel. I got one that didn't contain nickel, and I've been fine ever since. But yeah, I've had mine about as long as you have and I'm kinda over it now. I might take mine out soon too.

That could be it. Most of my other rings have been really expensive, this I got from Spencers so that could be it. I really like it too, it's a butterfly
