I live in PG, and this (recess) is information I heard from a teacher. I'm still in school about to go into student teaching, so it especially made me mad. The superintendent here is whack, there's no other word for it. But I haven'theard all of the details of the recess part, but i do know that naps were taken. And all the rest has been seriously cut. I know out there in Anne Arundel, they've started this new program system-wide called Opencourt where each and every class all over the county is doing the same thing at the same time, and that things are so strict that its scripted. And if the kids don't get it, then its an "oh well" type situation; they have to keep going. I don't kow how that's working out, but it sounds bad. What's the point in us getting all this training and degrees, etc, if we just have to read a script?

I'm having ahard time deciding where to teach LOL
