I was at work watching the ceremony in Simi Valley and I started to cry when Michael Reagan was speaking about his father and how Reagan never made a big deal or really ever mentioned that fact that Michael was adopted, Michael said something to the effect of like I was adopted, but I was always just HIS SON. That touched me as a parent , because I have known parents that mention constantly that their child is adopted, so its nice to hear about a parent that doesn't mention it , but has told his child that he was adopted.

Sorry if the post doesn't make sense.

It was just wonderful to hear his children speak about not just their father as a former President, but just as THEIR father , it gave me a newe insight into the man not just the politician. I cried so much at work today

One more thing. I heard on the news today that Las Vegas DIMMED the LIGHTS on the Strip today out of RESPECT for President Reagan. Apparently that has only happened 6 times since Las Vegas has been Las Vegas.

What a WONDERFUL TRIBUTE.
