Good article BetaRose. After reading the e-mail, my natural response was to look up the legislation (I do that from time to time anyway).
After examining who sponsored the bills and some of the language, I think the anti-war statement is valid. A lot of decisions concerning if a person receives active duty or civilian duty is dependent on the President. I found that rather odd. However, if it's just a protest, it makes sense. Also, I see this bill (well, both bills are identical) dying in committee.
