Yea!! The candle is for me, and since its gone around 4 times (1 for sisterhood, 2 for lavaliering, 3 for pinning and 4 for engagement) you guessed it!! I'm now engaged to be married!!! Ed proposed on Friday - and I readily accepted.
Wanna hear how he did it? He asked me not to ask any questions, but could I be home from work by 6PM?
Naturally, I assumed something BAD had happened... I got home, he lead me to the couch and told me to have a seat. Then, he got on one knee and took the ring box out of his pocket. I'm not real sure what he actually said - couldn't hear him over the voices in my head! - but he DID SAY, "I love you. Will you marry me?" And proceeded to place the ring on my finger. I hugged and kissed him - and he asked if that was a "Yes." "YES!!!" I confirmed.
We have not yet set a date. I've done the big huge (expensive) wedding, and so did he, so we're thinking of eloping. We'd have a party for friends and family when we get back from whatever beach/island we eloped to!
I'm so thrilled to be able to share this happy time with Sisters! The nearest chapter has already emptied out for the semester, so I'm really glad to have this opportunity. I don't think I could have waited until September!!
