In Miami,...

I think there is A LOT of tension. Cases like the Elian Gonzalez situation and the government constantly turning back Hatians but giving Cubans a helping hand have really upset the Afam community down here. My aunt says they (specifically Cubans) act like they came over here on a first class plane instead of a boat. They seem content with holding on to their traditions (good thing) but unwilling to learn English (after 30 years here you should be able to say something). I'll end this because I think that a lot of hispanics are discriminatively treated better than Afams who have lived here (miami) for years. Beside Caucasians, they are the main Bush supporting group over hear and the 2000 Presidential election...but that's another issue...
