The Macon Magnolia name came about fairly recently. The Phi Mus and the Alpha Delta Pis were noticiing that we both feel a bond from being the first & second sororities. Since other GLOS have the Monmouth Duo, and the Farmhouse Four (Five?), we decided that
we needed a nickname. One of the Phi Mus, Jacquelyn Eisner, came up with the name "Macon Magnolias" and I came up with the lavender color, as a combination of azure blue & Phi Mus's pink.
