They do. There are also many who drop out, and continue to carry around the paraphernalia. I don't know why, but they do!

According to a google search (specifics will be asterked out to protect identity):

*** **** chapter of ****** ******** would like to welcome their six adorable new members! Welcome to Chi Omega Lucy, Lisa, Becca, Sarah, Daniella, and Malea ...

New members, not new pledges..
New members and "pledges" are interchangable, as we are phasing out the word "pledge" among most of the sororities.

I appreciate your coming on here to ask your question-- no, an initiated woman cannot pledge/initiate into another NPC or NPHC sorority. But we don't have the facts behind the Chi O chapter closing, nor know if the woman who is now a Delta was initated by Chi Omega. You would best get this answered by asking the woman herself or the campus Greek Adviser.

I hope you get your question answered, but outside of the "can she or can't she be both," we can't provide any additional help or information.
Good luck.
