I hosted a baby shower for my best friend today. She and I team teach, were roommates in college, and she's also an ADPi sister. The shower was at my house and it was a great success!! I had such a hectic week so I was a bit worried about pulling everything off, but everyone had a great time and so did I. Omigosh, I remember when the first one of our little group of sisters had a baby, and we had a shower for her - we had a cake that said "Rick O'Shea is on the way!" Well, of course, she had a girl, and Kelly was the first baby I ever held. Talk about love at first sight! She called me "Annissa" ("Aunt Melissa") until she was about 5, and I think my ovaries just jumped at the thought of it...
