Not growing up in Ozark County
Actually I didn't grow up in Ozark County. I grew up in Kansas, near Olathe, in a town called Springhill. I always thought KU was the big thing, and couldn't wait to go there, until I did. When my dad got the job down here, we moved to Dora. Culture shock. Then I went to see my boyfriend a couple years ago at LSU. Imagine a girl from Kansas, with an added accent from Dora, going to Louisiana. They laughed. But I had a good time there while I was visiting. I visited some of the sororities because I was thinking about transferring there. They were all full of southern hospitality. I was impressed. You don't get that treatment at MU.
