I love being a music major because:
--Here, the Music Department is a different world from the rest of campus. We never leave that building. We literally spend more hours there in classes, rehearsals, and practicing than our own homes/dorm rooms.

I love it though, because we all know each other.
--Because of the close-knit atmosphere, you can totally sit down and hang out with your professors. And you know all of them very well. My sax teacher often takes me and the other sax majors out to lunch, and it doesn't seem weird to me at all.
--Even though it is a very stressfull and time-consuming major, I wouldn't change it for anything in the world. I mean, I get credit (and an easy A) for improvizing in Jazz Band when I could be sitting in a boring lecture. I sit in Studio Class with the other saxophone majors as we toss around ideas about our instrument, or play for each other. I take classes in Conducting, where I get to prepare to conduct the university's Wind Ensemble for my final grade. All in all, it's a great major, and my career will be even better. As my saxophone teacher words it, "Beats the hell out of working for a living!"
Other majors, let's share!
