It's also a very vulnerable position to be in. Consider it this way- when a guy is getting oral, he's still often in a position where he can feel in control. I mean in the stereotypical position, girl on her knees, your hands on her head...lots of control. But when a girl is receiving, she's often laying on her back with her legs spread open...exposing a part of her that many have been taught is extremely private, or dirty, or at least represents a definitive aspect of our feminity. I wouldn't do it for a long time because I just felt too...open to the world. But I think that most girls can get over it when they realize how good it can feel...I did at least
