U of Michigan's Strategic Plan 2010
Was looking for pics of the greek houses at my alma mater and found this. Just want to know what people's opinions/thoughts on it are?
UM Strategic Plan 2010
Also found out that my school implemented Greek ID cards. Does anyone else hae anything like this
Quote:
Greek Indentification Cards
Authority
The Greek ID Card is a joint venture between the Interfraternity Council (IFC), Panhellenic Association (Panhel), National Pan-Hellenic Council (NPHC), and Multicultural Greek Council (MGC). The aforementioned councils have jurisdiction over the entire Greek ID system including but not limited to policies and procedures regarding use, benefits, sponsoring organizations, and business units. All ID cards, as individually marked, are property of the Office of Greek Life (OGL). The OGL, in consultation with the Presidents of each Greek Council, reserves the right to make all policies, rules, and take all action necessary to the administration of the identification cards. Greek ID Card Holder
1. Use
The card holder is responsible for the proper use of the Greek ID cards. Proper compliance with Greek ID card use includes: -Only current members in good standing with their respective chapters are eligible to hold a Greek ID card. -Cardholders who de-pledge, deactivate, or graduate are required to return their ID cards to the Office of Greek Life (4115 Michigan Union). -Cardholders and Greek organizations are encouraged to use the cards to promote Greek unity as well as exclusivity by using them as identification at any Greek sponsored event. -the card must be used only by the individual whose name appears on the card. -the cardholder is responsible for ensuring receipt of relevant card benefits (discounts, special programming/Greek events admission, etc) and resolving any problems or discrepancies with the benefit offering organization. -Cards are not to be used in a fraudulent manner, and if they are found to be used as such, the Office of Greek Life will confiscate them immediately. -Cardholders may be required to present an alternate form of identification with their Greek ID card (ie. student ID/drivers license).
2. Replacement
-The cardholder is responsible for contacting the Office of Greek Life (located at 4115 Michigan Union) immediately upon discovery that the card is lost, stolen, or damaged and will be assessed a 5$ replacement fee should they desire a new card. -Cardholders of Greek ID cards that expire before their graduation date (or expected date of graduation) should notify the Office of Greek Life immediately and are entitled to ID card replacement free of charge.
Greek ID Card Partner/Business/Sponsor/Benefit Offering Organizations
1. Compliance
All Greek ID card partner, business, sponsoring, and benefit offering organizations must be in compliance with the following: -Organizations in the aforementioned categories above must clearly and prominently display or advertise the acceptance of Greek ID cards as well as the benefits offered upon presentation of the card. -Organizations accepting Greek ID cards are responsible for enforcing appropriate use by auditing cardholders, checking other forms of identification if necessary. -Organizations are responsible for obtaining the express written permission of the Office of Greek Life if the ID cards are being used to collect data of any kind. -Organizations are responsible for offering benefits to cardholders as advertised or agreed upon with the Office of Greek Life, other partners, businesses, sponsoring, or benefit offering organizations. -The organization(s) accepting or utilizing the Greek ID cards, not the Office of Greek Life, is responsible for ensuring proper use and distribution of benefits; the Office of Greek Life is not responsible for reparations or loss as a result of improper Greek ID card use or fraudulently obtained benefits. -The Office of Greek Life is not responsible for any costs associated with compliance with Greek ID card policies for use or acceptance nor for advertising costs incurred as a result of the acceptance of Greek ID cards.
