I agree with AOPIROSE. Most of my sisters who were either nominated or eventually became sweethearts, became one because they did what came naturally. They were easy to get along with, a majority were at the time dating a member of the fraternity and they didn't have any extra overatures about them.
I do know some who had a goal to become sweetheart and it ended up hurting them in the long run. It doesn't take too long for the men to "figure out" that you're campaigning.
Just be yourself. There are many other achievements in college and in life worth fighting for.
