I think you're reading too much into the suspension. The stated reason is his attitude, and the instance they keep using is his comments about her being an awful player. At this point, I take that at face value.
In reality, Barnett's problem (beyond coming off as incredibly arrogant and uncaring) is that his program was/is rife with runaway problems that he should have been on top of and either wasn't, didn't care or encouraged them behind the scenes. It is important to realize, though, that the reason he is only suspended at this point is that these are still allegations. Inncocent ulntil proven guilty.
