I was the exact opposite...I never even heard of a local sorority or fraternity until well after I became a member of my own GLO. I just assumed that every school had national groups. When my stepdad was telling me about the local fraternity he was in, it just didn't click...I kept asking, "But what fraternity were you in?" because it wasn't anything that I recognized as IFC.
