This forum is for Sorors, Sisterfriends and others to post THEIR opinion and/or thoughts, regardless if we agree or not.
Now Soror 12dn94dst, in answer to your post, I think it how we have been socialized to react towards bisexual and/or lesbian women. It is harder to break a habit then to start one.

Yes, this is a forum where we express opinions, hopefully as intelligently and clearly as possible without becoming hostile. Soror's OPINION of your OPINION is that it's a load of crap. And NO, not all of us have felt this way at one point or another. Now y'all make up because I can't have my sands on here acting a fool. :P
Your logic is interesting, Soror. For years some white people were socialized to react a certain way to blacks. I guess when we run accross those who still do think that way we should just let that go because it's hard for them to break that habit? (just a question)
I don't remember my parents telling me that homosexuality was wrong just as I don't remember them telling me that white people were evil and not to be trusted even though they were brought up in the 50s & 60s and the civil rights movement came to a head. Even if they had, I'm an adult now and it's irresponsible of me to blame my entire way of thinking on someone else be it the media, my parents, my church or my peers. Yes we are influenced by all those forces, but the ultimate decision of what to think lies in the individual. In the process of growing up, there should come a time (or 2 or 3) when you discover that what you were taught or what you previously though was wrong. If that time hasn't come, then you haven't grown as a person. The more we are open to and experience different things & views, the more we grow and the more we know, which, as you reminded us Soror, is half the battle (yes, I'm showing my age too).
