Can you get out of being in a wedding ?

this is a strange question but, a sister of mine is getting married in August. She has asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding. Due to some recent events, unforcene debit, and just general bitchiness on her part the honor of being in this wedding has worn off. I know that it is her special day, and I am very honored to that she asked to me to be in her wedding, I am just not really feeling it. It seems that now that she's engaged, she can't waste her time talking about anything but the wedding or her life. Comments like are being made to me about how " i am wasting my life being friends with my ex boyfriend and not out actively dating", and " I have no idea what debt is like because I am not paying for a wedding or a new house" are being tossed around. I understand that being a bride is very stressfull, and that there is a lot that needs to be done. But I don't think that it is an excuse to turn into a Bridezilla. Plus the idea of being the only single bridesmaid is not so fun. So I am not sure what to do.
