Last Christmas, my dad and I went to the mall in Kalamazoo to do my last minute Christmas shopping! Well, my mom is a tub nut! By this I mean, the woman is CONSTANTLY taking a warm bath! I can't even tell you how many times I would call home and she would be taking a bath! Anyway, dad and I walk into the mall and we see this pretty large set-up of hot-tubs. Jokingly, I told my dad that if we got her a hot-tub, that would keep mom from taking a bath all the time! Well, he really thought this was a good idea! So, he asked some questions of this guy and started signing some papers. Well, after a while, I got bored! Dad sent me to go get some coffee and I was walking by some stand and this girl asked me if my dad was going to buy a hot-tub. I told her yes and thought it was pretty cool. She then asked me what "Omicron" meant on the sweatshirt I was wearing. On a few t-shirts and this particular sweatshirt, we just put Omicron and the event instead of writing out AOII. I explained that to her and she just flipped! She told me that she was an AOII too at a chapter in Tenessee I believe, but transfered to a school in Michigan that didn't have a chapter. Then, this girl showed me a ring she was wearing that was gold with a square that had AOII engraved on it. This knocked my socks off because I was wearing the same exact right, but silver! That was pretty cool! So, we exchanged information and she gave me a huge hug and said she was happy to have met me! My intention was just to do some last minute shopping...not meet a sister and talk about all these random, fun things! But, it was awesome anyway!
