Chi Omega -- "National" from the start

During my brief time here on GC I have read with interest many posts about NPC groups who are perceived as "strong Southern groups." It made me start thinking about our organization and the vision held by our founders that we be truly a "national" women's fraternity. It is evidenced by the variety of locations of the chapters installed in the first 15 years of Chi Omega. From 1895-1910 chapters were chartered in the following:

Kentucky
Canada (yes, I know that's not a state!)
Mississippi
Tennessee
Virginia
Louisiana
Illinois
Wisconsin
California
Kansas
Washington, D.C.
Texas
West Virginia
Michigan
Colorado
New York
Maine
Pennsylvania
Florida
Washington
Massachusetts

Also, let's think about where Chi Omega has started new chapters in the past 15 years...from 1988-2003 chapters were chartered in the following:
Delaware
Alabama
Virginia
North Carolina
Ohio
California
Pennsylvania
Washington, D.C.
South Carolina
Arizona
Indiana
Florida
Missouri

[edited because I forgot a state!]
