Unhappy Iota mourns the loss of one of our brothers

Bro. Jerrod "JD" Spencer, Ace of the Spring 2000 Line at Eta Chapter, Virginia State University, passed away Wednesday (the 18th) from injuries he sustained in a car accident over Labor Day weekend. He was critically injured in the car accident when he was ejected from the car as it overturned. He had been in ICU at the Medical College of Virginia in a coma. Including the injuries (brain trauma, shattered leg) sustained in the accident, JD also caught Pneumonia and has a Sinus Infection. His family decided to take him off of life support as his condition worsened.

We laid our brother to rest on this past Wednesday (the 25th). The Hurricane affected communication of this tragedy to other members of the greek community who may have met JD in his travels (he also briefly attended NC A&T). He was also a member of the bands at Va State and NC A&T ,Kappa Kappa Psi Fraternity Honorary Band Fraternity, Inc., and other fraternal orgs. at Va State. We ask that everyone please pray for JD, his family, and loved ones.

A website is planned for those who wish to leave thoughts about JD. But for now, I have created an memorial graphic (see below).

We'l miss you JD. OW! OW!
