This is a twist on most of the above posts. Many years ago ZTA installed a very old local as a ZTA chapter at Elon College. All of the alumnae of the local were invited to be initiated if they wished. Several did and one special lady was the mother of a ZTA alumna from the University of Alabama (my alma mater). Without her knowing it, the daughter flew up and pinned her mother! Believe me, there wasn't a dry eye in the chapel.
The mother became very active as a ZTA alumna and eventually became a member of National Council - as well as a very good friend of mine.
I was a member of the Installation Committee for that weekend and this is a special Zeta memory for me.
