Bringing down the house
CAPTION:The Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house, 101 W. Lindburg, lies half razed Saturday, after demolition began last week to clear the way for a new facility. The house, built in the late 1800s, was simply becoming too expensive to maintain, so a fund-raising campaign was begun to pay for a new fraternity house, according to Kent Bumgarner, president of the fraternity's housing corporation. They expect to have the new house built in time for the fall semester next year.
