Living in the house is included in your dues. The budget is made and rent, food, etc. are considered and then you're billed at the beginning of the semester. You either pay it all up front or if your chapter has a payment plan you can break it up over the semester. If your national owns your house then all of the money goes to them, if your university owns it then the chapter cuts a check to the university from that money for rent. That's how it worked with us anyway...
