That was a neat article - but 2 of the facts are backwards:


Parliament is considering legislation that would not exactly legalize marijuana possession, as you may have heard, but would reduce the penalty for possession of under 15 grams to a fine, like a speeding ticket

This piece of legislation has already been passed - marijuana in Canada has been decriminalized since late May/early June

and


Just last month, Canada decided to allow and recognize same-sex marriages.


Currently only BC and Ontario recognize same sex marriages - there is currently legislation in Parliament to ammend the Constitution to recognize same sex marriages nation wide
