READ CAREFULLY, PEOPLE. If you look over my post, you will see, as GPhiBLtColonel pointed out, I specifically said that it was not dirty rushing. All I'm saying is that, if it were me, like ilovemyglo mentioned, I wouldn't want it to seem like the chapter just wanted me because I'm a legacy. I'm not saying that that would necessarily be the case in every situation, but just in MY opinion, if it were ME, I would wonder, especially if preffed by my own sister. Maybe I'm just paranoid, I dunno. Also, I'm sure this isn't the case with BC, but I can guarantee you (come on, we know how some PNMs are), that if some girls were preffed by their own sisters, they would think they were guaranteed a bid or something. Oy.
*Edited to add a response to this question*: Actually, I think it's a very different situation to be rushed by someone you know already compared to being rushed by your own sister. Neither one is dirty rushing, I've already said that, but there's a big difference between talking to a friend and talking to someone you're related to. I do agree that the sister should be allowed to talk to the PNM for a few minutes, but she shouldn't be the main person trying to get the girl to join the house. If I were the PNM in that situation, I'd think, that's great, but does anyone else really want me here besides my sister? Just my $0.02
