Alpha Sigma Alpha Hires New Executive Director
Alpha Sigma Alpha National Headquarters Indianapolis, IN — Nancy M. Coleman has been hired as the executive director of Alpha Sigma Alpha. Nancy started work at national headquarters on July 1.
Coleman brings a wealth of experience in association management to Alpha Sigma Alpha. She worked for nine years as the executive director of the Insurance Education Foundation. Coleman also served as executive director of the Indiana Federation of Republican Women. She has been the finance director to the Indiana Republican State Committee and worked for four years as special assistant to former Mayor of Indianapolis William H. Hudnut. Coleman was a business teacher at Blue River Valley Junior-Senior High School for nine years.
Coleman will oversee the day-to-day management of the sorority’s operations, supervision of the national headquarters staff, direct the regular, administrative and financial affairs of the sorority and oversee the communications program and services to members.
Coleman has demonstrated skills in strategic planning, finances and membership services. She holds a Master of Art Education degree from Ball State University where she also received her Bachelor of Science degree in business education.
Alpha Sigma Alpha was founded at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia in 1901. Nationally, Alpha Sigma Alpha has 74 collegiate chapters and 71 alumnae chapters. Over 57,000 members are committed to promoting sisterhood, heritage and leadership.
