He didn't tell you that just to keep you from doing it.It is called Third Party Disclosure and it is a big deal.Depending on what you say to the third party,it can be grounds for a huge winnable lawsuit.You have to be extremely careful about what you say in customer service.However,I am sure that laws vary from state to state.
