Fairfield family on reality series
By Rick Bird
Post staff reporter

A Fairfield, Ohio, father and his four children will be the stars of a five-week relationship reality series to air on NBC beginning July 14.
Don Mueller is the featured father on "Who Wants To Marry My Dad," a spinoff of the NBC reality series "Meet My Folks," in which parents choose from three women as to who wins a date with their son.

This show reverses the concept and ups the stakes considerably as Mueller's children choose among 12 women who they would like to be their next stepmom.

Mueller, who is divorced, is the CEO of Mass Marketing, a 25-year-old Fairfield-based advertising and publishing company specializing in commercial map-making.

His children include two sons and two daughters. Two are seniors at Liberty University in Virginia, a son works at a Cincinnati bank and a daughter is a married Cincinnati mom.

Producers flew the entire family to a Southern California home where the show was shot over four weeks. Filming wrapped up just a couple weeks ago.

An NBC spokeswoman said, "I can tell you the show ends with a marriage proposal."

The show will follow the format of the "Meet My Folks" series: Mueller dates the women as his progeny quiz them and as various embarrassing secrets about their backgrounds are revealed along the way. The women will also be put through lie detector tests by the kids to test their commitment and honesty.

Even if Mueller doesn't end up marrying the woman he chooses, he and the winning lady do win what the network calls "a fantasy honeymoon trip."
