Viniger works well but for the face or really spotty bad areas I'll simply apply Neosporin. It cuts down on burning. It actually aleviates my sunburn by the next day - may make you look really greasy red but oh well. Apply it at night and feel better in the morning.

Things I know TO AVOID are:
-many showers (dries up the skin)
-crappy lotions (b&bw and Victorias secret stuff) BAD. Use a Vaseline intensive care from the Green bottle (think it says something about having lipids). Dunno why but the past times I've severly burned my body and used that lotion it felt really good and cut down on the burning. Most other lotions trap in the heat so that's why I said don't use something perfumed.
