From Anchorage, up north towards Fairbanks, then east into the Yukon Territory, south back into Alaska. Board a ferry in Haines, AK on a Monday afternoon, arrive in Bellingham, WA the following Friday morning. To just south of Portland, OR for that weekend, then to San Francisco. I could easily head further south of San Francisco if the copilot desired. Plenty of flights out of Seattle, Portland, the Bay Area, or greyhound and Amtrak for the TRULY adventurous!!!
Come on, who doesn't want to take two weeks out of their life to drive through parts of Alaska and Canada, and then spend 5 days on a FERRY? We call it "the poor man's cruise". You'll even get free food and beer in Oregon!!!
