I have been to two different agd weddings, one from my chapter and the other was a different one. Mine is not a singing chapter at all and what songs we sing, we don't sing like any other chapter. We sing "Rose" or "Tonight as we gather" (most chapters sing "Today as we gather". The one I went to that wasn't my chapter, did "as we gathered" but so pretty and different that I couldn't sing with them. I would love to learn the Murray State version.
I find traditions very important and I find that this is one additional thing that sets us even farther apart from the non-greeks. I feel sorry for anyone who chooses to miss these special moments.
