This writer has a lot of good, and accurate, things to say. But I have to admit that when he posed the question "why do students criticize the Greeks for being elitist?," the thought ran through my head that many of his readers might think that his florid description of the Zeta "soirée" provided an answer. Don't get me wrong -- I think it sounded like a great evening. But the desciption did not strike me as one likely to dispel unfair stereotypes of elitism.
