equal rights really equal??
I know many people may not agree with my opinion, but that's the wonderful thing about being an American, we all have one and it' never the same as anyone elses. This is just something that I thought might be a lively thread, considering the recent happenings in our news about affirmative action, which has as much to do with women and all ethnic backgrounds, not just a white/black thing.
As far as I'm concerned equal rights means everything should be equal all the way up to the draft, a woman can be a ceo or chairperson of a company, she can work in a factory or in construction, even volunteer for the army, but the minute you bring up including women in selective service you get more fire and brimstone thrown your way then Satan and God could muster together. The draft would still be run the same way, you could get a medical defirment and conciencious objector status.
What are your opinions on this??
I'm curious and will try to remain open minded about this as long as I am not personally attacked or utterly flamed for this.
