Decisions Decisions Decisions

Don't you hate when you have two or more things fall on the same day at the same time or same week?

Situation #1:

In late December my GLO is having our national conference in New Orleans. In early January one of my non-GLO is also having a national conference...in Denver. I've never been anywhere outside the midwest or the south and never been to colorado or seen mountains! I've gone to New Orleans before, but I was like 5, so I don't remember much. Both trips cost around $300, so I can only go to one.

My current closest circle of friends are going to Denver, while my chapter members are going to New Orleans, in which very unfortunately we're not that close too each other.

Eventhough my closest friends are going to Denver, and we will be doing a lot of things i've never done before...like skiing, however partying will not be one of those things, and I'm there definately be some boring moments. In New Orleans, i'm sure that will be a lot of fun (I wish not to go into detail) and perhaps partying, and maybe even chance to bond a little, I have some sort of idea what to expect since I've been to several sectionals and regionals.

Either way, I want to go hundreds of miles away from home to go wild and lose my mind. I'm trying to decide which one would satisfy me more...sigh. Mom and best friends says I'm crazy if I choose New Orleans over Denver. I also want a "neutral third party" opinion.

Situation #2:

There are several upcoming christmas parties that I have been invited to (damn I'm getting popular ). Two of them are on the same night. One's very formal and I might even get have a date and close friends are attending, the other is at a less formal place but I think I'll have more fun their IF everything goes right (again I wish not to go into detail as in why).

Hmmmmm...fun with friends or fun getting wild (I won't say how ).
