funny you should mention Ford - i remember reading in one of my sociology texts that Ford's total assest would rank very high as a country, top 25 i think. This leads into my second point, with the advent of globalization, corporations have become massive conglomerates, exceeding state boundaries and international laws. Who's to say that one day we won't be citizens of Microsoft?
