Yay for Homecoming!!!
It's finally time for homecoming!
This years theme is Code RED:Big Red Alert
Our Triad is us (Beta) DG and Alpha Phi Alpha.
Just spent the past hour singeing the sides of a sheet for a banner with two lovely DG's for our banner. We've decided to go with a firefighting theme when possible. Our lawn display is going to be lifesize fire engine!
Here's a schedule of events
Sunday 1pm: Fun Run (get participation points for number of participants)
5pm: Construction of Lawn Displays can begin
Monday: Noon - Banners due (ours has a firefighter with a football in one hand and stomping on a KU football helmet...the helmet is cracked. In smoke around him the letters of three houses are formed...then above is "Code Red" in flames, and below is "Big Red Alert" and those letters looked scorched, then we singed the sides)
7pm-9pm Diversity Event (50% attendance of house necessary to get points)
Tuesday: Nothing but display construction.
Wednesday: All Day: Elections for King and Queen
7pm-9pm Alumni Association Pizza Pass (Alums hand out pizza to students working on lawn displays)
9pm-11pm Kareoke Kontest (get points for placing on performance, as well as points for house attendance)
Thursday:6pm-730pm Husker Howl Finals (points for performance ranking, as well as house attendance)
Friday 1030am Lawn Displays completed and judged
Saturday 1230pm Nebraska destroys KU!!!
