Phi Mu
Our badge is a gold quatrefoil (you can see this shape on
www.phimu.org) with a black quatrefoil overlaid on it. Then there is a gold banner with the Greek letters PHi and Mu above a hand holding a heart above another gold banner with three stars.
Our new member badge is a black quatrefoil outlined in gold, with a gold greek letter Phi on it.
Where can you wear your badge? (does it have to be over the heart, is a suit jacket ok or does it have to be on the blouse/shirt, if you're wearing other pins (like an Order of Omega pin) do they have to be below your badge, etc)
Officially our badge is to be worn over the heart. Place your right hand relaxed on your chest with your thumb in the superstenal notch and the badge should go right above where your pinky falls. The badge should only be worn when in business casual or dressier attire. Other pins should never be worn above or equal to the Phi Mu badge. Aboyfreind's pin, Order of Omega, etc should be worn between the badge and the chapter guard. The chapter guard should be just below the badge.
Do you require new members to wear their pins at all times?
They don't have to wear the official badge at all times, but when they don't they should be wearing their pledge ribbons.
Can you attach anything to your badge? (chapter guard, etc)
A chapter guard can be attatched to the back of the pin and officer dangles can be hung from the chain.
Can you use a badge buddy?
Oh oops, no, we don't do the fabric thing, but we have these little metal guards that keep the badge n if it comes unhooked.
Can you make your badge into a pendant or ring?
Yes, but it is not to be worn in a utilitarian manner. IE: Same rules apply as to wearing the badge: Only with business casual or dressier clothing.
What other official jewelry does your GLO have? (president's ring, award pins, mother's/father's pins, sweetheart pins, etc)
Wehave mother's pins, that's really all I've seen. The national executive president's badge is HUGE and is encrusted with diamonds and onyx. It's GORGEOUS!!!
