I am an alum, but was visiting the chapter while I worked for the sorority. I stayed with them for a few days and give them ideas on programming and such, to help improve the chapter with ideas from other chapters, etc.! Anyway, UH is a very beautiful campus and I liked the area. The girls were really down to earth, too, which I was wondering about, because you always hear about Texas girls, esp. Dallas and Houston area, being very stuck-up or whatever. But ya know, just a stereotype and I was really glad to find out it wasn't true. In fact both at UH and Texas A&M I found the women to be wonderful! And I'm glad they made it clear to you that they don't discriminate based on age. They all have plenty of room in their chapters, I believe, so it's not like you would be taking a younger person's place. They could have you AND the freshman and everyone's happy. At least, that's how I hope it works out!
