Very well written and expressed. Thought provoking indeed.
With that said, I personally feel it is a correct judgment that
neither should be said in the public school system.
1. The pledge--pledging yourself to an OBJECT and a hypocritical country (government). Sorry, can't and won't do it.
2. The Lords Prayer-- Just because others may feel the spirit and be compelled to speak in tongues (j/k
) doesn't mean I am comfortable with that. Worship what you want but I don't want to be a part of it at school. If I want a dose of religion, I will visit a church.
